Senior Development
The Murtis Taylor Senior Center is located in the Family & Community Resource Center. The program serves older adults ages 60 and over and adults with disabilities and ages 18 and up providing nutrition programs, adult development activities and transportation all designed to reduce social isolation and loneliness.

The Senior Program is open Monday–Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Membership is open to anyone 60 and older or ages 18-59 with a qualifying disability. Please call 216-283-4400 ext 2355 or 2362 to enroll.
RELATED SERVICES
Our nutrition program includes:

Home Delivered where we provide safe and nutritious meals delivered to the home of an older person who is home-bound because of illness or disability. This service is available to Mt. Pleasant residents.

Congregate Meals providing safe and nutritious meals, in addition to social interaction and activity on site in the Family Center

Senior Farmer's Market Nutrition Program is designed to provide low-income seniors with access to locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey and herbs. Eligible seniors receive benefits to use at participating farmers' markets and roadside stands.

Adult Development & Wellness Activities:

Senior activities include arts and crafts, dance, book discussions, card games, presentations, and more.

Wellness programs, including line dancing, BINGO, Tai Chi, and Sewing are among the program's most popular classes.

Transportation:

The senior program plans shopping trips and other community events.

Transportation to and from the center for activities is available to Mt. Pleasant area residents (44120-Cleveland and parts of Shaker and 44104 & 44105 - Shaker, Buckeye/Woodland.)
