According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 1 in 5 Americans will experience a mental illness in a given year. In order to assist those living with mental illness achieve active recovery, we involve a variety of treatment options that are tailored to each individual’s needs and are based on the nature and severity of those needs. Through a thorough assessment, called the Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation without Medical, information is gathered which includes history of mental health or substance abuse treatment, current symptoms, psychosocial stressors and available support systems. This information is used to develop linkages with appropriate treatment services and assists in the creation of an individualized service plan. This individualized plan creates a roadmap to achieve goals that promote recovery and enhance an individual’s quality of life while incorporating the individuals cultural and personal preferences.
